Dita Von Teese: Virgin's Flying Lady Pinup

Virgin Atlantic celebrated yesterday its 10th anniversary of flying between London and Las Vegas. To mark the milestone, the airline unveiled a one-off Las Vegas-inspired flying lady on its aircraft in the iconic guise of Dita Von Teese. Sir Richard Branson, President of Virgin Atlantic, joined Dita, the world's most famous burlesque performer, to lead the celebrations on the wing of the Boeing 747-400.

Commenting after seeing the flying lady for the first time in the flesh at Las Vegas McCarran Airport, Dita Von Teese, said: “It’s fantastic to be invited to mark this occasion. The pinup girl as aircraft "nose art" is a classic part of aviation history, so it is amazing for me to see myself depicted on an aircraft!
"I hope passengers around the world who fly onboard this plane enjoy seeing me as Virgin's flying lady pinup!"
