Sonata Lingerie: Belle Epoque Collection

We're all excited this week because the perennially popular Sonata Lingerie's newest collection is in! Belle Epoque combines lush jewel tones with ethereal pastels, and features all of the classic Sonata silhouettes and detailing that everyone loves.

The Rosa series is made out of delicate lace the color of mulled wine, and has lots of pieces to mix and match. The Rosa Lace Short Robe is the classic Sonata sheer robe with a giant ribbon tie. The sheer lace combined with the giant sleeves gives it a dramatic flair. You can go ahead and match it with the Rosa Soft Cup Bra or the Rosa Balconette Bra if you don't want to wear something fully sheer. The Rosa Silk & Lace G-String and the Rosa Silk & Lace Knicker both pair beautifully with either bra, depending on how much coverage you want. The cage-like detailing on the Silk & Lace Knicker is one of my favorite looks that Sonata Lingerie makes.

The Ravena series features a Silk Chiffon Babydoll instead of a robe, and is a lush take on basic black. Each piece is studded with red crystals that catch the light. This is especially prominent on the Balconette bra. The Silk Chiffon Babydoll would be a great layering piece as part of an underwear as outerwear look.

If I had to pick one standout piece from this collection, it would be the Danae Lace Bodysuit. Tangerine is the Pantone color of the year and this bodysuit is perfect as outerwear. I own one of Sonata's bodysuits and wear it all the time for all sorts of occasions.

The Opaline series is made out of cornflower blue sheer lace, and has all of the same pieces as the Rosa series. I particularly love the way the lace and the colors make even the Opaline Thong look supremely elegant. This range makes a gorgeous option for the Bride's "something blue" piece under the gown or for her wedding night. 

The Adelle Silk Chiffon Babydoll and Silk Knicker make a classic and elegant set. I love the bow in the back of the knicker and the bows on the shoulder of the baby doll. They're so feminine and flirty.
